This three-hour First Look Clinic (FLC), will cover key new features in Windows Server 2012. It will outline new management and access features for areas such as Server Manager, Active Directory and PowerShell. It will also cover storage and network improvements as well as High Availability and significant changes to Hyper-V contained within Windows Server 2012.
NOTE: This First Look Clinic also contains demonstrations. These demonstrations are built on the Windows Server 2012 Beta release software. i.e. a pre-release version of Windows Server 2012

- Explain the major changes to Hyper-V around networking, storage and management of Hyper-V virtual machines.
· Explain the new High Availability functionality and services such as DHCP and Print

Before attending this course, students must have:
- Knowledge and Experience of Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2
- Good knowledge and understanding of general IT infrastructure and Enterprise environment technologies
· Windows Client knowledge such as Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
Module 1: Server Management in Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2012 has many new and improved features to assist with server management and administration. In this module, we will discuss some of the key new features that make management more functional and more straightforward such as changes to Server Manager, Active Directory and PowerShell. We will also discuss Dynamic Access Control and IP Address Management.

After completing this module, students will be able to:
Module 2: Storage, Networking and Availability in Windows Server 2012In this module, we will discuss improvements in storage that provide improved scalability both at a disk and server level, and enable you to perform backups directly to the cloud. We will discuss remote access improvements that deliver automatic connections to corporate networks, regardless of whether the user is onsite or remote, and improved BranchCache functionality to improve branch office network performance.Lessons

Module 3: Hyper-V in Windows Server 2012
In this module, we will discuss some of the major enhancements to Hyper-V around networking, storage and management of Hyper-V virtual machines in Windows Server 2012, as well as introducing Hyper-V Replica and discussing changes in clustering and VM Monitoring
